National Widow's Day Banquet
We started National Widow’s Day to help bring the cause of the widow and widower back to the attention of Christians in our city and nation. God expresses His love and care for the orphan and widow throughout the Bible, so National Widow’s Day is one small way we honor the widows we know. To celebrate, each year we hold the National Widows Day Banquet to encourage and enjoy some time together. We have had many wonderful celebrations including a Luau, a Sock Hop with Car Show (and rootbeer floats!) and even a formal Banquet with a dance and a Roaring 20’s Gala! The 1920’s theme was an absolute blast! We are so grateful for the amazing volunteers who serve, give and volunteer their time and resources every week to help Widow Wednesday serve the greater Kansas City area.

National Widow's Day is May 3rd!
We started National Widow's Day to raise awareness and encourage people everywhere to remember the widows in their communities and lives. Every year we do something special for the Widow's we've been fortunate to connect with over the years. Check out these videos below to learn a bit more.
